The following will explain Exit Error Alarm. Watch out for… · Are Entry Exit or Interior zones not reporting? Exit Error may be enabled. · Does your keypad show EA or EXIT ALARM? · How does Exit Error Logic work? · How Can I enable/disable Exit Error Logic? Are Entry Exit or Interior zones not reporting? Exit Error may be enabled.· With the Exit Error feature enabled, an entry/exit or interior zone will cause an “exit error alarm” rather than a true alarm. In this case, perimeter zones (ZT03) and fire zones will report normally. · These messages may be interpreted to central station as a “trouble” rather than an alarm. How does Exit Error Logic work?· Exit Alarm and zone indication will appear if an alarm condition occurs two minutes after the end of an exit delay or if an exit or interior zone contained a fault during closing at the time the exit delay ended, but the system was NOT disarmed during the entry delay time. · The sounder & keypad sound continuously until the system is disarmed (or timeout occurs). · This condition will also occur if an alarm on an entry/exit or interior zone occurs within 2 minutes of arming. · An exit alarm message (E374 if CID and an 811 is sent to the pager) is sent to the central station. How Can I enable/disable Exit Error Logic?· Vista-10 family: *65 = second entry is exit error report code (0 in the second entry disables exit error logic, anything else enables exit error logic) · Vista-15/20 family: *59 = exit error report code (0 disables exit error logic, anything else enables exit error logic) · Vista-40/50/100/128/250 family: 1*20 = Enables exit error logic (0 disables exit error logic, 1 enables exit error logic) |
