On the top menu bar is an option called “Help”.  Selecting the “Help” option displays another option called “About”.  Selecting the “About” option then displays version information. 

There are 2 main versions displayed namely “Software Version” and “Database Version”.  The Database Version indicates the version of the Fixed.mdb file.  This version value is fixed throughout the Compass application.  This is the important indication of what version of Compass you have.

On the other hand the Software Version is a value that indicates the version of the current executable running during the Compass application.  This version will change depending on what part of compass you are in (or what panel you are looking at).
