My panel powered up armed and I can't disarm it!   (ID:14184466)
The following will explain what to do when you arm the system and do not have a code to disarm the system.

Watch out for:

·        The installer code can only disarm if it was used to arm.

·        Power the panel down, then back up.

·        Accessing the programming mode will be difficult:

·        After you are in programming:

·        If all else fails…..

The installer code can only disarm if it was used to arm.

You may disarm the system with the master code (or any code other than the installer).

If you are reading this, you probably do not have the master code.

Power the panel down, then back up.

If a program feature “power up in previous state” is disabled, the panel will power up disarmed.

If it is enabled, the system will be armed. You must access the program mode to disable this.

Accessing the programming mode will be difficult:

You cannot enter programming using the installer code while the system is armed.

You may access programming by pressing * and # together at the time of power up.

However, when the system powers up armed it is very difficult to do this.

You must press * and # together and hold them during the power up process.

Running to the keypad after applying power will not be sufficient.

You should connect a keypad directly to the control panel with all other wires removed from those terminals.

After you are in programming:

Ø       On a Vista-10 family control:

·         These controls do not have an option for power up in previous state.

·         When you exit programming (*99), the system will be disarmed.

Ø       On a Vista-15/20 family control:

·         Set *39 (power up ion previous state) = 0

·         When you exit programming (*99), the system will be disarmed.

Ø       On a Vista-32/40/50/100/128/250 family control:

·         Set *29 (power up ion previous state) = 0

·         When you exit programming (*99), the system will be disarmed.

If all else fails…..

Verify that you have a good keypad, set for the proper address

Check panel voltages (AC/aux/battery/keypad voltages)
