How do I calculate for Battery Backup?   (ID:14206466)
The following will explain how to calculate the required battery backup for your control panel.

Gather the required information:

Which panel do you have?

What peripheral devices do you have? (And how many?)

·         This includes all powered devices.

  • This includes Bells/sirens
  • This does not include non-powered devices such as door contacts.
  • For peripheral devices not listed on the sheet, you will need to gather the amount of current required for standby and alarm.

How much battery reserve time is required?

  • Simply fill in the quantities for your peripheral devices in the yellow areas.
  • Additional peripherals may be added in the yellow lines
  • Key in the amount of backup time needed at the bottom.
